·     Saturday, July 4th, 8pm-10pm ET (check local listings), America Made in Virginia: 250 Years Together.  PBS will air a historic star-studded Independence Day celebration with a two-hour live broadcast.

Saturday, July 18th, John Lewis Day of Action #GoodTroubleDay.  Democrats of the Desert will sponsor a new documentary film, Lightworkers, at the Mary Pickford Theater. The documentary features interviews with thirty-seven diverse men and women who confront the problem of saving their democracy from fascism. The film’s producer, director and writer, Bobby Roth (Lost, Grey’s Anatomy, Prison Break), will join the audience for a discussion after the film. Bring a bag of non-perishable, non-expired food for the Find Food Bank. Advance registration required and seats are limited.  RSVP at www.desertdemocrats.org.
